FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: cuvette consists a sealed chamber filled with gas which absorbs optical radiation. On opposite ends of the chamber at one optical axis there is an input and an output window inclined to the optical axis by an angle of 45°. On the lateral side of the chamber is an ultrasonic oscillation emitter and receiver optically interfaced with each other, such that there is superposition of optical and acoustic radiation along the optical axis.
EFFECT: increase in sensitivity owing to increase in length of the optical path and the region of interaction of acoustic and optical beams.
