FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for remote detection of alpha-radiation sources, having an air ion measuring detector which opens into the air, is interfaced with an air ion transfer unit and connected to a measuring pulse counter, a calibration detector, similar to the measuring detector, interfaced with a calibration alpha-radiation source and connected to a calibration pulse counter and a power supply respectively, wherein the output of the calibration pulse counter is connected to the first input of a comparator, the second input of which is connected to a bus of a predetermined number, and the output is connected to the control input of the power supply, wherein the apparatus additionally has a first and a second resistor, a variable resistor (potentiometer) and a memory unit, wherein the first lead of the first resistor is connected to the measuring detector and the first input of the variable resistor, the second lead of the first resistor is connected to the first lead of the second resistor and the input of the memory unit, the second lead of the second resistor is connected to a common point, the second lead of the variable resistor and the sliding contact are merged and connected to the output of the power supply.
EFFECT: high sensitivity of the apparatus when detecting alpha-radiation, broader functional probabilities of the apparatus.
