SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mathematical physiology and may be used both for medical application, and for the purpose of preparation and control of equipment test personnel for problem solving of continuous isolated submarine and air-space studies, as well as related to emergency activity. It involves daily diastolic pressure, mm Hg, and heart rate, beats per minute, monitoring, followed by calculating a Kerdo index. A mean sleep and awake Kerdo index is calculated. An individual Kerdo index zero is calculated. The Kerdo index and the derived individual zero are used to draw an approximating polynomial and measuring the areas above and below the sleep (S) and awake (B) polynomial diagrams with the values S and B compared. If the values are equal, the balanced body recovery is stated. If observing B>S, the recovery appears to be insufficient due to insufficient sleep duration; while the B<S values show the "excessive" recovery due to excessive sleep duration.

EFFECT: method enables determining the level of physiological recovery of an individual shown by assessment of daily characteristic variation of the vegetative nervous system.
