FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing and may be in various fields for production of metal structures and cutting of metal work pieces. Proposed electrode consists of two metal discs jointed together with central bore for them to be fitted on common shaft. Discs feature identical thickness of 0.2-10 mm and are provided with vent holes made on their surface delineated by closed 2nd-order curves. Between discs arranged are separation washer and spacers laid at angular distance of 30° relative to each other to each other. Centers of said spacers are arranged in circle with diameter smaller than electrode working diameter. Said metal discs, separation washer and spacers are made from one equal-thickness metal of grade and are welded together. Spacer outline is delineated by straight line or circle while linear size does not exceed ± 1°30' relative to disc center.
EFFECT: ruled out vibration, higher cutting speed, high-quality cut surface.
