FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, more specifically preparing cytokine derivatives and may be used in medicine. A recombinant method is used to produce a polypeptide containing an N-terminal portion and a C-terminal portion wherein said N-terminal portion involves a characteristic sequence QGP[P or L], and an amino acid sequence of said C-terminal portion is at least 70% identical to SEQ ID NO:1. The produced polypeptide, the nucleic acid coding it and the host cell expressing it are used in treating or preventing HIV infection, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) or HIV transmission.
EFFECT: invention enables producing the polypeptide able to block the cell surface receptor CCR5 and/or to induce CCR5 internalisation and/or inhibitory regulation in the host cell.
