SUBSTANCE: invention refers to remote control of technical state of high-voltage oil-filled electric power equipment, to power oil-filled transformers in particular, under voltage and it is meant for development of diagnostic information-measuring built-in control complexes for control of technical state of such equipment. In order to detect defects of disruptive-arc character transmission coefficient T875 at wave's length 875 nm and reduce of transmission coefficient T875 in time are determined, and in order to detect defects of thermal character relative transmission coefficient t'600 is determined by formula where T600 - transmission coefficient at wave's length 600 nm; T850 - transmission coefficient at wave's length 850 nm, and reduce of relative transmission coefficient T600 in time.

EFFECT: on-the-spot detecting defects in oil-filled electric power equipment with minimum efforts.
