FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves obtaining an image of one perspective and scale using a set of circular marks with the entire image field being filled by each mark. Images of marks with different width of dark rings are selected such that the width of dark rings lies in an interval bounded on one side by the minimum width of rings which are still distinguishable on the entire image field, and on the other side by the maximum width of rings in the image of the mark, already undistinguishable on the entire image field. The resolution for regions of selected images, where dark rings of marks are distinguishable, are determined from the width of the dark ring of the mark on the image. The resolution of the photographic camera on the entire image field is obtained by merging regions with different resolution into one image. The set of circular marks consists of 30 circular marks, each being a system of concentric rings on a light background, wherein the width of the dark ring within one mark is constant and falls from each previous mark, starting from the first to the last, on a geometric progression law with ratio K which lies in the range of 0.91-0.95.
EFFECT: possibility of determination of resolution of a photographic camera on the entire field of the formed using a set of marks.
