FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and can be used in production of low-alkaline alumina which is obtained from carbonisation or decomposition aluminium hydroxide. Alkali-containing aluminium hydroxide is washed with boiling 5% boric acid solution, with liquid phase to solid phase weight ratio of 5:1. The pulp is then filtered and calcined without washing at temperature 1275-1325°C for one hour.
EFFECT: invention reduces power consumption.
