FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can b used in guide sheaves and rollers providing directed transfer of loads by wire ropes of load-lifting machines and mechanisms. Proposed cable block contains rim with groove for cable made of modified wood, and bearing with bushing made of modified wood and enclosing metal bushing with friction surface which is rigidly secured on block axle. Rim and bearing are clamped together from two sides. Said bushings are provided with spherical friction surfaces. Metal bushing id made convex, with spherical friction surface. To provide clamping of rim and said bushing made of modified wood, block is furnished with base disk with cheeks, with small and large rings provided with threads, disk-and-ring nut with small and large rings provided with threads and clamps made in form of shaped plates. In process of clamping, cheeks of disk and shaped plates form dovetail in cross sections of rim and bushing made of modified wood.
EFFECT: increased serviceability, service life and reliability of cable block.
