FRICTION UNIT WITH RADIAL-AXIAL BEARING MADE OF MODIFIED WOOD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2222724 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in sliding supports exposed to axial displacement and dynamic loads in additional to radial loads. Proposed friction unit with radial-axial bearing made of modified wood contains wheel shaft with rigidly secured sector bushing having outer friction surface and metal holder secured in friction unit housing. Sector bushing is made of modified wood radial arrangement of fibers. Bearing holder friction surface is concave in shape, and bushing made of modified wood is clamped from two sides by metal half-bushing press-fitted onto shaft. EFFECT: reduced cost of bearing and energy consumption at manufacture. 3 cl, 1 dwg
