SUBSTANCE: electric energy conversion device comprising converter (2) and inverter (4) includes capacitor (3) that accumulates DC electric energy; pulsation detecting unit (8) that detects pulsations of virtual value of power, which are generated from inverter (4); voltage measurement instrument (15) that measures voltage on capacitor (3); DC voltage command generation unit (16) that calculates the value of voltage command on capacitor (3) in compliance with AC voltage frequency, which is generated from inverter (4); and DC voltage control unit (17) that receives the voltage measured with voltage measurement instrument (15), and command values calculated with DC voltage command generation unit (16) for control of converter (2) so that voltage on capacitor 3 is command value; DC voltage command generation unit (16) increases voltage command value on capacitor (3) so that it is higher than usually, in the situations when voltage on capacitor (3) is within the specified range including the frequency of voltage pulsation component on capacitor (3).

EFFECT: reduction of capacitor power.
