FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of electrically insulated metal band for making insulated wires from foil to be used in transformers. Process is implemented in compact high-efficiency low-waste process line. To straighten metal band edges to square cross-section with burrs removal and reduction of lengthwise width variation, longitudinal cutting module has every first flat knife of twin set rigidly fixed on module bed while every disc knife is pressed thereto by every second flat knife by elastic rubber washer. Band drawing sizing module has drawing die made up of two bracket-shaped heads. Enameling module is provided with capillary squeezing rods. Lacquer drying and polymerisation or gelation module incorporates special-design through-drawing device to protect band edges.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of sizes and quality, increased metal filling.
