FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of increasing seed production and/or root biomass in plants compared to that in wild-type plants by transforming plants with a structure based on nucleic acid encoding the polypeptide of translocation of synovial sarcoma (SYT) or its homologues with the corresponding structure. The described construction contains SYT, which contains from N-terminal to C-terminal domain of SNH, rich Met domain, rich QG domain. A transgenic plant is discovered carrying such construction and its related part.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides plants with improved yield compared with that of the corresponding wild-type plants.
