FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: induction hardening plant comprises an inductor with an inducting wire and a reservoir with a hardening medium. In a circular inductor, coaxially to it, there is a crucible inserted without a bottom with an insert and a cover. The crucible, insert and cover are made of a coal graphite material, between the inductor and the reservoir there is a gate installed from an electric insulation material arranged as capable of rotation and supply under the crucible. Between the crucible and the inductor there is an electric insulation gasket installed, besides, parameters of plant elements are selected on the basis of the following ratios: Dext.c=Dint.i-2d, Dins=Dint.c-2Dred-1 mm where: Dext.c - external diameter of the crucible, mm, Dint.i - internal diameter of the inductor, mm, d - thickness of electric insulation, mm, Dins - insert diameter, mm, Dint.c - internal diameter of the crucible, mm, Dred - reduced diameter of heated items, mm.
EFFECT: higher operational resistance and quality of item heating due to scale-free heating of items.
