FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for assembling hydro-pneumatic units with sealing elements of radial compression that require high tightness and reliability of sealing. Proposed method comprises expanding ID of every element to shaft diametre, fitting at least two sealing elements in shaft groove. Sealing elements for every groove is effected sequentially. Note that one end of the shaft is set into machining attachment till first sealing element is set in its place. Then shaft is withdrawn for its other end to be set into machining attachment. Proposed appliance comprises machining attachment furnished with bore mating that of the housing to receive the shaft, and a temporary separator of two adjacent sealing elements made up of two semi-rings with OD mating that of machining attachment and ID corresponding to shaft groove diametre. Additionally, proposed appliance has compression spring fitted in "П"-like groove to press semi-rings radially relative to shaft groove Note that spring is compressed to amount corresponding to chamfer of machining attachment.
EFFECT: higher safety and reliability.
