FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method to extract energy resources during recycling of solid propellant rocket engines by realisation of heat from a jet of combustion products as a short-term source of energy includes charging of a heat accumulator during energy source operation and its discharge to energy consumers after termination of energy source operation. During the period of heat accumulator charging, a solid propellant rocket engine is joined to a diffuser receiver, and a jet of combustion products is generated inside the receiver, which are heated and fluidise a liquid coolant in the form of a heat-resistant heat-intense grain material. The fluidised liquid coolant is raised in a riser in the pneumatic transport mode with heat exchange between gas and solid phases until temperatures balance. From the riser a mixture of gas and solid phases is supplied into a separator to separate gas from a heated liquid coolant, which is forwarded into a heat accumulator. In the period of heat accumulator discharging, the accumulated liquid coolant is transported to the heat exchanger-scorcher of admixtures with a fluidised layer of the liquid coolant to give heat to a working body of a power generator turbine for steam generation. The cooled liquid coolant is removed to a storage hopper connected with a diffuser receiver.
EFFECT: higher extent of solid propellant energy conversion into electric energy.
