FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method to identify full resistance of a power transmission line includes performance of multiple synchronous measurements of currents and voltages at two ends of the line, specification of values of measured voltages and currents, and also estimation of full characteristic resistance of the line with account of parameters of its equivalent circuit, calculation of a value of full characteristic resistance. The device realising this method comprises multiple sensors of voltage and current, making it possible to carry out multiple measurements in two previously selected locations on the power transmission line, multiple measurement systems, every of which is designed to accept a set of measured voltages and currents, the main system accepting and processing data arriving from a group of measurement systems. At the same time voltages and currents produced by the main system are synchronous in time, and the system itself provides for clarification of measured values by control of one or more parameters of the equivalent circuit of the power transmission line. Also the main system calculates full characteristic resistance on the basis of measured values of currents and voltages for a section of the power transmission line.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement of full power transmission line resistance.
