FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical measuring equipment. Overhead transmission line monitor contains a casing that is installed on the transmission line. At that, casing comprises a base part and a cover portion connected to the base portion and defining the casing cavity together with the base portion. Moreover, the cover is movable relative to the other base part. At that, part of the cover is made of a semiconductor material.
EFFECT: technical result is in eliminating of the corona discharge.
