FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: it involves reversible extracranial occlusion of supplying cerebral vessels, namely brachiocephalic artery, left subclavian artery and left common carotid artery within junction to the aortic arch. The length of an ischemic episode is determined by time of occlusion of said vessels by microvascular clips.
EFFECT: method provides reducing operative injures and performing the one-step operation, as well as simulating complete cerebral ischemia with the pre-set length of the ischemic episode.
