FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electric machine is connected by phases with a converting circuit containing a DC voltage chain for switching of at least two voltage levels, besides, phases of the converting circuit are connected with a DC chain by the selected combination of switching conditions of power semiconductor switches of the converting circuit. A forecast is made on further behaviour of the entire system, and then optimal combination is selected among switching conditions on the basis of the previous selected combination of switching conditions and in respect to the number of transitions from the previous selected combination of switching conditions to the selected combination of switching conditions and in respect to the appropriate specified range of values of the rotary electric machine torque, its stator magnetic flow and potential at a partial output. The method stages are carried out by means of a digital signal processor and a field programmable gate array (FPGA).
EFFECT: reduced frequency of switching cycles of power semiconductor switches.
