FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: when performing repeated selection of cells in a wireless communication system, user equipment (UE) may initially be in anticipatory mode in the first cell; while waiting in the first cell UE may identify the second and third cells, which are considered to be better than the first cell; UE may move from the first cell to the second cell without repeated selection of cells to be in the anticipatory mode in the second cell; after displacement to the second cell, UE may receive at least one parameter of repeated selection of cells for the second and/or third cell and may update ranging of the second and third cells on the basis of a parameter (parameters) of repeated cell selection; UE may then do repeated cell selection from the first cell to the second or third cell based on updated ranging.
EFFECT: possibility for repeated cell selection by user equipment with simultaneous exclusion of double repeated cell selection.
