FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to brake shoe designed to be used in lift safety gear. When the suggested brake shoe is used in lift safety gear design in case of this gear actuation permanent pressing force (N) is applied to each brake shoe. The brake shoe is made so that under action of the mentioned pressing force when contact with guiding rail (3) takes place the braking force (F1, F2) is increased which force results from friction of this shoe and is increasing from initial value providing lift stop when permissible speed has been exceeded to the value sufficient to stop freely falling lift cabin.
EFFECT: invention provides increase in reliability of brake shoe actuation in above mentioned emergency modes of lift operation.
