FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: agglomerated flux contains the following, wt %: calcium oxide 60.0-72.0; magnesium oxide 1.2-2.0; silicone oxide 4.0-6.0; aluminium oxide 1.2-1.9; iron oxide 12.0-25.0; manganese oxide 0.5-3.5; other oxides are the rest. Charge used for manufacture of agglomerated flux contains the following, wt %: manganese-containing material 2.5-18.0; solid fuel 8.0-14.0; iron-ore material 10.0-25.0; lime is the rest. Manufacturing method of agglomerated flux involves mixing, crushing, pelletisation of charge and sintering. At that, charge consists of lime, manganese-containing material, iron-ore material and solid fuel. Mixing of lime with manganese-containing material is performed prior to crushing; crushed components are mixed with iron-ore material and solid fuel, moistened, pelletised and loaded into sintering machine. After sintering process is completed, agglomerated flux is cooled, crushed, subject to hydration by mixing with wet components of sintering charge.
EFFECT: invention allows obtaining flux with high ability of intensifying the sintering process of iron-ore agglomerate and reducing environmentally hazardous emissions at transportation and storage.
