METHOD OF OBTAINING CONSTANT CONCENTRATIONS OF VOLATILE SUBSTANCES IN GAS STREAM AND APPARATUS FOR REALISING SAID METHOD Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01N30/06

Abstract RU 2465584 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves saturation of a stream of inert gas with volatile substances to equilibrium concentrations, which is carried out through contact of the inert gas with the granular layer of a solid support or adsorbent which contains a fixed amount of volatile substances. Temperature of the flow system is controlled depending on concentration of volatile substances at the output of the system. The apparatus for realising the method of obtaining constant concentrations of volatile substances in a gas stream has a temperature-controlled tubular flow system filled with a granular layer with a fixed amount of volatile substances. The tubular flow system is made of two series-connected sections of equal length, the first of which is connected to an inert gas line and has a large diameter, and at the output of the second section there is a quality analyser which is connected through a temperature control unit with the temperature-control device of the flow system.

EFFECT: higher degree of extraction of volatile substances from a granular layer and wider time interval for maintaining constant concentration of volatile substances in a gas stream.
