FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: unified method for charging storage battery makes it possible to control both constant and time-dependent current sources. As distinct from method used for charging constant-current source, input current of time- dependent current source should be continuously checked in the course of charging. Desired current to be supplied for charging storage battery or for feeding telephone is set by selecting load share proceeding from input current measurement results. Unified formula for various power sources and various desired currents facilitates calculation of most suitable output current. So unified formula may be used for controlling input and output currents irrespective of whether constant or time-dependent current source is used. In order to attain smoother averaging of current proposed method includes adjustable time interval determined from difference between input current and desired output current .
