FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in tools with replaceable cutting plates. Mechanism for clamping cutting plate fitted in its seat made in cutting tool body comprises retainers to press said plate against seat surface. Said seat of provided with mount surface and, at least, one limiting surface of the wall extending therefrom upward. Seat or retainer are provided with budged section or groove with concaved surface to interact with cutting plate concave surface groove or bulged section. Said groove extends, in fact, parallel with seat mount surface in direction crossing vertical direction at 60 to 90 degrees. Bulged section is fitted in said groove to interact therewith in fitting cutting plate therein and withdrawing it therefrom to allow cutting plate to displace in preset direction relative to its seat. Invention covers also the tool with indexable cutting plates with above described mechanism.
EFFECT: invention rules out displacement of cutting plate, ease of replacement.
