FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding and may be used in reconditioning worn-out machine parts by electric arc wire deposition. Proposed method comprises clamping filler wire between roller electrode and part surface. Then, part is revolved at constant speed. Roller electrode is driven by friction forces originating on pressing filler wire against the part. Solid metal coat is produced by subjecting filler wire to upsetting and plastic strain, said wire being heated by current pulses. In flashing, moment of force directed opposite the roller electrode rotation is increased.
EFFECT: increased adhesion between filler and parent metals.
