FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing rubber and plastic articles in containers with planetary rotation and may be used in machine building for removal of flash and burrs. In compliance with this invention parts are loaded into containers with heat-insulation coat. Then, polymer material is cooled down by liquid nitrogen to fragile state to impart containers fitted in their carries a planetary rotation and carriers with containers a translational rotation about axis perpendicular to carrier axis. Note here that specific heat of processed part material (Cp1), that of working bodies (Cp2), that of container polymer lining (CP3) and that of container wall (CP4) in J/kg*K, weight of processed parts (m1), weight of working bodies (m2), weight of container polymer linins (m3) and container weight in kg (m4), ambient temperature (t1), processed part embrittlement temperature (t2) and container outer wall temperature (t3) in K, and processing cycle duration (τ) in seconds are defined to calculate required volume of liquid nitrogen.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of removing flan and burrs, decreased consumption of coolant.
