FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bending of heated glass sheet at pressure. Heated glass sheet is placed on annular concave bottom die. The latter is leveled with top convex heated die. Both dies are displaced to bring glass sheet in contact with convex die for 0.1-1.0 s. Convex die opening is communicated with negative pressure source to pull glass to convex die shaped surface. Communication with said source is kept for 0.8 to 5.0 s. Both dies are withdrawn. Separation of bent glass sheet is delayed for 0.1-1.0 s. Convex die opening is communicated with excess pressure source. Bent sheet glass is placed into concave die and, further, on conveyor. Convex die shaper surface temperature is kept equal to 180-400 °C when in contact with glass sheet.
EFFECT: shorter cycle, improved optical qualities.
