FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of coating a component having a silicon carbide (SiC) surface. The method involves the following steps: a) laser treatment of the SiC surface by laser pulses in order to increase roughness of said surface; and b) applying a coating (30) on the SiC surface by atmospheric thermal spraying. The invention also provides a device for measuring deformation, which has a first aluminium oxide coating (30) obtained by atmospheric thermal spraying onto a silicon carbide layer covering the substrate of the component after treatment with laser pulses, a strain gauge (40) with a free thread placed on the coating (30), and an additional aluminium oxide coating obtained by atmospheric thermal spraying onto the strain gauge.
EFFECT: method provides high adhesion between the SiC surface of said substrate and the aluminium oxide coating with high resistance of the coated component to high temperatures.
