FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a centrifugal wheel which "floats" on the shaft of the pump, where the lower disc of said wheel is pressed by an axis force to the support collar of the guide apparatus of the previous stage, a high pressure source which is external with respect to the pump, a control and reducing valve, a pressure detector and a centrifugal wheel "emergence" indicator. There is a valve seat on the support collar of the guide apparatus. The seat is provided with seal noses on its inner and outer diameters. The seat is covered by a valve on the side of the cavity of the working wheel. The valve consists of sealing ring and a metal base. The centrifugal wheel "emergence" indicator consists of a horizontal and a vertical section of a pipe and a tee connecting these sections. The upper part of the vertical section, which is connected to the lower branch of the tee, is transparent and is provided with graduation marks. The method of determining axial forces on the support of the guide apparatus of the stage of a submerged centrifugal pump is realised using the apparatus.
EFFECT: simple design of the apparatus, high reliability and accuracy of measurements.
