FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises continuous casting from melt and hot rolling of billet into semis. Then, semis are rolled into finished strip with application of front and rear tension to breakdown, breakdown temperature at stands is measured along with rolling force and moment at last stand. It includes also feeding cooling fluid onto strip, cutting it into sheets and piling the latter. Note here that at the beginning of casting-rolling strip front edge rear tension at last stand is kept approximating to zero. Note also that at steady state of rolling, rear tension magnitude is defined by mathematical expression with due allowance for breakdown yield strength and thickness at outlet of rolls of penultimate stand.
EFFECT: higher quality of strip with corrugation not exceeding 0,1 mm per running metre.
