FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for testing under operation of an internal combustion engine (ICE) with ignition from compression. The method to assess the ICE technical condition consists in detection of air flow at the outlet from the ICE tray. Definition of air flow at the tray outlet is carried out in a start mode without fuel supply. The produced value is compared to the norm. Based on the comparison, the technical condition of the ICE cylinder and piston group is assessed.

EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness of diagnostics under operation.
