SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication. The technical result is achieved owing to that a unique identifier of a network node is used to request from a database location-dependent information for a device connected to said node. An identifier of at least one server serving an area in which said device is located is then retrieved by using said location-dependent information.
EFFECT: enabling a mobile device to determine its local server when making an emergency call.
