FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment and may be used in cardiac surgery for replacement of an injured aortic root with an aortic valve. A frameless aortic root prosthesis comprises a blocking element in the form of three flexible flaps, adjoining sinusoid envelopes 2, a crown-like valve root 3, a cuff 4 and a vascular valve segment 5 sutured together with an elastic suture 6. The flexible flaps are made of porous polytetrafluorethylene, while the other said elements are made of a polyester cloth. Motionless edges of the flexible flaps are sutured between the sinusoid envelopes 2 and the crown-like valve root 3.
EFFECT: invention provides higher reliability and reduced risk of postoperative complications caused by prosthesis leakage.
