FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining demineralised water and high-purity water for nuclear power plants of research centres involves preliminary treatment of water supplied from source water tank using bulk carbon filter and microfilter; further water demineralisation using reverse-osmotic filters and final treatment using ion-exchange filter with accumulation of treated water in clean water tank and supply of reverse-osmotic concentrate for disposal if no radioactive or chemically toxic contaminants are available in it, and in case the above contaminants are available there, the above concentrate is supplied for detoxification. The above method differs by the fact that prior to the supply to source water tank the treated water is heated up to more than 100°C and then cooled to the temperature determined by heat resistance of polymer membranes of reverse-osmotic filters, and concentrate from parallel operating reverse-osmotic filters is supplied to cool down the source water after it has been heated.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing the water treatment plant capacity by two times without increasing water consumption of the plant, increasing service life of ion-exchange filter and reducing the consumption of ion-exchange resins.
