FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to machine building and serves to machine long surfaces, for example, metal cutting machine bed guides. Proposed method comprises placing mobile machine tool on the part connected with computer, transducer of current coordinates at given machining point, and feedback device. Said mobile machine tool incorporates ball-type support moves over machined surface to register current coordinates of said transducer and to compute current machining parameters at every time interval depending upon departure of current coordinates from computed parameters. Proposed device comprises mobile machine tool, computer, transducer of current coordinates, and feedback device.
EFFECT: automated machining.
