FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, a gas stream which forms a gas-powder mixture with powder is fed at supersonic speed and then directed onto the surface of an object. The powder used is that of material selected from a group comprising niobium, tantalum, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, zirconium, nickel, cobalt, iron, chromium, aluminium, silver, copper, a mixture of at least two of said compounds, their alloys with each other or with other metals selected from a group comprising rhodium, palladium, platinum, gold and rhenium, wherein the powder has particle size of 0.5-150 mcm, oxygen content of less than 500 ppm and hydrogen content of less than 500 ppm.
