FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: part of cutting tool has base and wear-resistant hard coating system on at least some part of surface of the above base, which contains at least one layer of the following composition: (Al1-a-b-cCraBbZc)X, where X means at least one of the following elements: N, C, CN, NO, CO, CNO; Z means at least one of the following elements: W, Mo, Ta, Cb (Nb). At that, the following conditions are met: 0.2≤a≤0.5; 0.01≤b≤0.2; 0.001≤c≤0.04, and the above layer has vitreous growth structure. Manufacturing method of cutting tool part involves provision of the above base of the part in vacuum chamber of plasma spraying, application of the above system to the above base by means of physical deposition method from vapour phase during the treatment process, setting of surface temperature of the coated base at least to 550°C during at least the predominant part of the above treatment time period.
EFFECT: improving wear resistance and resistance to oxidation of hard coatings.
