FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: rod-shaped piezoelectric transducer is meant for embedding into a thick-walled antenna housing made from polymer material, having an arched curvilinear shape. The transducer has a bolt-reinforced active element in form of a set of piezo-ceramic washers, a front cup-shaped cover plate and a back cover plate in form of nut. The cup-shaped front cover plate, whose height is equal to the thickness of the thick-walled polymer housing, has a conical section adjoining its working surface for fixing the rod-shaped piezoelectric transducer level with the outer surface of the thick-walled polymer housing. On the outer cylindrical part of the surface of the front cup-shaped cover plate there are at least two grooves in which there are rubber sealing rings which damp vibrations of the cup-shaped front cover plate, for fixing the rod-shaped piezo-ceramic transducer in the opening on the thick-walled polymer housing, decoupling from it and sealing.
EFFECT: smaller longitudinal size, possibility of embedding into a multi-element antenna with a large curvature and small wave sizes.
