FIELD: hydro-acoustic, in particular, engineering of rod broadband transformers for antennas of hydro-acoustic stations.
SUBSTANCE: hydro-acoustic rod transformer has rod piezo-element, frontal and back cover pieces, rigid and flexible passive inserts and reinforcing bracket, positioned in hermetic body. Frontal cover piece is made as single whole with flexible passive insert, having shape of barrel, and rigid passive insert is made in form of disk, as single whole with bottom of barrel of flexible insert. Reinforcing bracket is rigidly connected to rigid passive insert. Frontal portion of body is made in form of cylinder-shaped hollow filled with water, positioned in front of working surface of frontal cover piece and having square-shaped flange at its output aperture. To realize additional capabilities for adjustment of frequency characteristic in transformer construction, at output aperture of hollow a metallic plate can be added, mechanically disconnected from hermetic body.
EFFECT: expanded working band of frequencies of hydro-acoustic rod transformer while providing for minimal unevenness of its frequency characteristic.
