FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a source of laser radiation, a solid-state sample with a flat surface sending a surface electromagnet wave, consisting of two parts having coupled surfaces, fixed relative to the first part along with radiation, an element of radiation conversion into surface electromagnetic waves, a radiation receiver. The radiation receiver is arranged in the field of radiation falling near the sample edge and is connected to a measurement device. The second part of the sample is arranged as detachable and in the form of a half-cylinder, the base of which is coupled with the end of the first part of the sample and is aligned perpendicularly to the track of the surface electromagnetic waves. The rib of the second part of the sample formed by its base and the cylindrical surface is arranged at the level of the guide surface of the first part. The radius R of the cylindrical surface meets the condition 100λ<R<L/π, where λ - length of radiation wave in vacuum, L - length of surface electromagnetic wave propagation. Both parts of the sample and the receiver are arranged on the movable platform capable of moving in parallel to the guide surface of the sample.
