FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a static device for determining the distribution of the field intensity of an infrared surface electromagnetic wave (SEW) along its track. The device includes a source of monochromatic radiation, the first focusing cylindrical lens, an element of radiation transformation in the SEW, a sample with a wave guide flat surface, a flat mirror, intersecting the SEW track, and the second focusing cylindrical lens, disposed above the track outside the SEW field, photodetectors, measuring devices and a data processing device. The reflecting face of the flat mirror forms an obtuse angle with the surface of the sample. The edge of the flat mirror, facing this surface, is parallel to it and is moved away from it at a distance, exceeding the depth of penetration of the SEW field into the environment. The upper point of the reflecting mirror face in the plane of incidence is moved away from the sample by a distance h, defined by the relation: h≥x⋅tg (α), where x is the distance from the transformation element to the projection of the upper point of the reflecting face onto the track, α- is the angle of inclination of the maximum of the volume radiation pattern from SEW track.
EFFECT: increase in signal-to-noise ratio and increase in measurement accuracy.
