FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for measuring the distribution of an infrared surface electromagnetic wave (SEW) field over its track. The device contains a source of monochromatic radiation, a radiation transformation element in the SEW, a solid-state sample with a guiding wave by a flat surface, and a platform moving along the track. A focusing lens, a photodetector, a measuring instrument and a stand are mounted on the platform. The stand is equipped with a spring-cushioned frame and an adjusting micro-screw, articulated with an area inside the frame, carrying the element for converting the SEW into an OB. Springs, resting against the rack, tighten the frame to the sample, and the frame itself rests on the surface of the sample by the stops moving along it. The element of the radiation transformation in the SEW is made in the form of a sector of the cylinder, whose axis is oriented perpendicular to the plane of incidence of radiation, and the convex surface of this element capable of guiding the SEW is conjugated by its edge to the surface of the sample and has a track length less than the propagation length of the SEW.
