FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention related to field of medicine, namely to pathological anatomy, forensic medicine and obstetrics. To determine localisation of leading point of head by changes of skull in dead fetuses and newborns, boundaries of area of dome of cranium periosteal stagnation are determined. Leading point of head in dead fetuses and newborns is determined in the area of periosteal dome of cranium stagnation by drawing two perpendicular lines, connecting its most distant edges. The first line is drawn parallel to sagittal suture, the second line is drawn perpendicular to said suture, with leading point of head being found on the intersection of said lines.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine localisation of leading point on skull in dead fetuses and newborns, born with cephalic presentation.
