SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Airbag jacket comprises precut sections from elastic material and connection sections to interconnect the latter. Precut section defines said jacket to receive airbag pack. Method of making airbag jacket consists in forming said jacket from said precut section. Section of cover and jacket cover section are made from one or several precut sections. Connection sections allow disconnection on inflation of airbag in accident conditions. Method of laying airbag pack in said jacket consists in folding jacket so that jacket outer side is directed inward while jacket outer side is directed outward. Then, airbag jacket is laid on airbag pack and turned up. Thereafter, airbag in fitted in jacket to make its outer side directed outward and inner side directed inward.
