FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves recording information on cylindrical and end sections using linear increment sensors, storing in memory an array of values of the measured points of the sections in form radius vectors and turning angles in one full revolution of the article, using the obtained arrays to determine parameters of dimensional accuracy, form accuracy and relative position of the end faces of articles based on the axis of the base surface of the article passing through two centres of adjacent circles of sections of the base surface spaced apart in the axial direction. At least three sections are simultaneously measured, two of them being sections of the base surface and the rest being the controlled end faces. Adjacent circles and planes are determined in accordance with metrology provisions. Parameters of form accuracy and relative position of the surfaces are calculated based on data on the adjacent circles/surfaces.
EFFECT: invention increases measurement accuracy owing to use of metrology provisions when determining accuracy parameters.
