FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining erythrocyte adrenal responsiveness by variations of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) under adrenaline in vitro in the concentrations of 10-5; 10-7; 10-9; 10-11; 10-13 mmole/l of human venous blood with underlying block of their β-adrenoceptors by Obsidan added into the analysed citrate venous blood. The Obsidan concentration makes 10-6 mole/l. Various response types are specified depending on directions of ESR deviations from an initial level: upwards - as aggregation, downwards - as anti-aggregation, no prominent deviation - as a reactive. It is followed by quantitative estimate by erythrocyte adrenal responsiveness variations in absolute units of ESR deviation from the initial value presented in the form of average EARs; the average EARs are calculated by the whole range shifts of the adrenalin concentrations. The functional state of erythrocytes is assessed by a degree of EAR manifestation with considering a sign: 'plus' in decrease of ESR, 'minus' in increase thereof. Inhibitory action of the blockers (β-adrenoceptors) is predicted by a difference of control and test samples in the presence and in the absence of Obsidan.

EFFECT: method enables detecting a group of individuals potentially able to develop a stress response and predicting a therapeutic effect of inhibitors in the patients suffering cardiovascular diseases.
