UNIPOLAR DC MACHINE OF HIGH VOLTAGE Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC H02K31/02 H02K21/36

Abstract RU 2471280 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: stator of a proposed unipolar machine comprises a hollow cylindrical permanent magnet magnetised along generatrices with round holes in the centre with ferromagnetic bases, with several holes that are through at the sides, at every 90°, through which dielectric axes of movable electroconductive cones stretch, being directed with their tops to its axis, and a rotor comprises several electroconductive and ferromagnetic discs with edges chamfered pairwise to each other and contacting with generatrices of mentioned cones, installed on a shaft with insulation one after another, through one accordingly in a rigid manner, and with bearings, centres of which are electrically connected by electroconductive rings, besides, centres of the extreme ones of which are connected accordingly with positive and negative terminals of its electric output via metal hollow cylinders tightly placed onto a shaft with insulation, and rolling bearings installed onto them. Instead of sliding contacts, rolling current pickups are used, and also electroconductive conical reversible mechanisms, which both allow to the adjacent discs to rotate in opposite directions, and to connect them serially in an anchor electric circuit, and to accordingly increase output voltage of the unipolar machine and to significantly increase areas of its application.

EFFECT: increased reliability of unipolar machine operation with simultaneous substantial increase of output voltage and expanded field of its application.
