FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in design of the proposed unipolar machine (UM) there are no conventional sliding brush contacts, and several disks can be easily connected in series to its electric anchor chain by means of electrically conducting belts and hollow cylinders with common magnetic system. At that, rotation shafts in the proposed UM always rotate to opposite sides, which can be provided either with individual external motors, or by any common reversing mechanism. Proposed direct current UM with two shafts can operate both in generator mode, and in motor mode.
EFFECT: sufficient increase of wear resistance, improvement of electromechanical characteristics and noticeable increase of operating voltage; enlarging application field of unipolar direct current machines.
